Lately I have to keep reminding my self that there is a time and a season for everything. Now is my season to be a Mom. I want to be a great mom and provide a great childhood for my children. Life at our house is quite a zoo. It is loud, chaotic, and seems to have endless list of chores for me to do. I want to be there for my children in every way possible. I want to emulate my Great, Great Grandma on my mothers side. Mom told me that no matter what she was doing she would drop everything even if she is elbow deep in kneading bread. She took the time to look at the person in the eye as if they were the most important person in the world at that moment in time and she listened with all of her. Wow. I want to be like this. To often I am heard saying just a minute let me finish this then I will talk to you. I have missed many memory making moments and will no longer do so. How do I want the children remembering me? Being to Busy for them or as Being there. Living life in the present is of utmost importance to me and I want my kids to Know that they are the most important things in my life. They are my treasure and have a very special place in my heart.
