Looking back on our week......

Sunday- Is always a time of reflection, goal setting, and creating my weeks spiritually.
And Sunday is a day for a nap as we were up well into the morning canning.
Monday- This week we have focused on Habits.  I am training my children in the habits of Daily Morning Routines, Chores, and Family Devotional.  This week for devotional I printed off quotes from last General Conference and we have been listening/ discussing a new one each day.  Its been good so far....
Family home evening was on gratitude.  We learned that you have gratitude you cannot be bitter, resentful, or mean spirited.  We have been working on playing the Gratitude(Glad)game and adding leaves to our fall tree with things written on them that we are thankful for.
Then for the older kids portion of Family Home Evening we talked about Priorities and Time Management.
We filled a large vase with large rocks to show the things that take chunky time, then things that we must do like routines to maintain our home, ourselves, then we added sand for all the things we want to do or need to do for others...  We found if we are careful in planning out our day we can fill a lot into a day.
We talked about dedicating each day to the Lord and asking him what he would have us do.
Tuesday-  Maintained our home, prepared and delivered my speech for our homeschool group.
Prepared and held cub scouts.  We played detective and fingerprinted ourselves, then saw if we could guess whos fingerprints were whos with a magnifying glass.  Then we made mold of our bite then I had each boy take a bite out of a cookie and then they got to guess who took a bite out of which cookie.  Then they had to see if they could guess which shoe made the cast print I brought.  We talked about the importance of keeping emergency numbers next to our phone for if we needed them.  This week I am taking them to the Police Station.
Wednesday- Started reading Little House in the Big Woods, learned about Galileo, Watched The Story of the U S on Netflix....  Learned from Brainpop videos....
Thursday-More habit training.  It took the kids a huge chunk of the day to just get basics done....  We practiced reverence, We got through devotional, and we made banana bread without sugar and it was pretty good.  We watched a video about Guy Fawkes and we Read.
Friday- We prepared for kids history club and had devotional and more reverent practice.
In our kids club we made Amish Leftover Cake, Learned about the Netherlands, built dikes like those in the Netherlands with playdough,  Made Guy Fawkes dolls and yes even burned them in the fire...
Saturday- We did Saturday chores, Made Pumpkin doughnuts, ran errands, had devotional, and I made a daily devotional chart, and a Family Prayer chart.
