The journey to our new home.

A lot has happened this past year.   I can finally write about our moving Saga.  We started moving last May.  In may we started getting our house ready to sell.  There was so much to be done.  I drove the kids out to Utah so Mikes mom could watch them while we worked on house that was July 4th.  Mike left Colorado July 16th to start his new job in Utah.  Josh, Maelyn and I stayed behind to continue packing and fixing up the darn house.
Maelyn flew out to Utah July 30th So she could be at EFY on the 1st of August.  We so thought we would be done with the house by then.   Well we were not.  We purchased a fixer upper and did not get much done on the house in the 8 years we lived there.  It was a long, long summer.  Lets say the house had all laminate flooring, new paint, new kitchen cabinets,  Lots of yard work done, a huge cottonwood tree down, and a some awesome tile work done in one of the bathrooms.  It was a pain in the neck!!!!!!!  I am so grateful that We have some very awesome friends, and family we could not have done it without them!
I miss those friends dearly now.  They have been such a part of me and have been there by my side when I needed them most.  Josh and I finally were literally pushed out lovingly by some of those good friends Aug. 20th so we could be in Utah to start our new Homeschool group.
We lived in Utah Until Oct 8th, then The kids and I left and went to Arizona for three long months.  My mom is legally blind, and my dad has neourapathy in his foot and did not realize that he had broke four of his toes.  Needless to say they needed a taxi driver and I was available.
So I drove them to their many appointments, cleaned the house, did all the laundry, took care of the kids, and cooked all the meals...  It was crazy!!!!!!  and felt like an eternity in of itself.  Mike visited a couple of times while we were there..  We could not wait to get our family back under one roof.
While we were in Arizona the kids were traumatized by the neighbors house burning down, and they ALL eight of them got so sick they needed nebulizer Albuterol treatments.  We had 4 machines and the house sounded like a TB ward.  Needless to say I did not sleep much in the 3 months living in AZ.  Normal for me right?
We finally purchased a home in Tooele Ut in January and absolutely LOVE it!
We have 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 3/4 of an acre, 3/4 acre of  yard( and yes we are getting chickens in the Spring), and we have a basement than is dry walled to be finished and will end up with a large storage area, a game room, another bedroom and bathroom.
I feel like I am home again.  I already have many new friends and love the ward and there are a TON of amazing homeschooling families here, I love the fact that the kids have friends in the neighborhood all of them do.  The farthest I ever have to drive for a playdate is 15 min.  SlC is only 30 min away, so is the mall, Target and Winco where I like to do most of my shopping.
I do not miss Aurora, the sirens, and the strange things that just kept happening in our little neck of the woods of Tolegate subdivision.  I do miss the creek, the squirrels, and the racoons.  Well maybe not the Racoons.  I miss my awesome neighbors and now have more awesome neighbors and we have a mountain veiw.
There has been a ton of things happen in our family and I would love to blog all those things like we had a wedding in our family, we have a missionary coming home, we have a permit driver, and no longer have a baby in our home which I must say is so nice but weird.
I am very happy here and feel much needed peace.
